Alan “Al” Carnrite is a Partner at Carnrite Ventures and a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal. He specializes in corporate strategy, turnarounds and restructuring, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and operational improvement. With more than 40 years of consulting and industry experience, Al is a trusted advisor to executive level clients around the world across various industries including energy, industrials, and private equity.

Prior to joining A&M, Al spent 31 years as Chief Executive Officer with The Carnrite Group in Houston. In addition to founding The Carnrite Group, he has held senior leadership positions in consulting, industry, and finance, including serving as Senior Managing Director at Randall & Dewey, later acquired by multinational investment bank Jefferies; as CEO of Trinity River Energy, an independent E&P company backed by KKR and Riverstone with assets in the U.S.; as CEO of Epic Integrated Services, an electrical and automation company; and as CEO of Sterling Consulting Group. Al began his career at PetroCanada, where he led the upstream component of its privatization.
